The one day meeting envisages to help update knowledge on various aspects of systemic lupus erythematosus like recent advances in genetics, pathogenesis, diagnosis and management. The meeting will be useful to fellows in Rheumatology, Nephrology, Pediatrics and Medicine as well as to practicing rheumatologists.

The topics include: Genetics of SLE, recent trends, SLE: a disease of disordered waste disposal,Environmental influences in SLE,Autoantibodies in lupus, are they just markers or something else? Newer biomarkers in diagnosis of SLE,  Case vignettes, CNS Lupus: What do we really know? Registration is free but pre-registration is required. Registration fee of Rs 600 is to be paid as draft/ cheque in name of `Advances in Rheumatology 2010’ payable at Lucknow  (Refundable on attendance, this is to ensure that persons who register attend and also to help plan for meeting).

 
Accommodation is available at the Institute guest house at a rate of Rs 1000 (single occupancy) and Rs 500 (double occupancy).
